Today I finally made perfect pancakes. They're apple cinnamon and they're delicious.
Last night we went to go see Levon Helm. Kat and Pam and I were right up close in front of him! it was really awesome. Then I had to go to the back and nurse Bobby and sing to him for the rest of the show. I don't think I can listen to "It Makes No Difference" anymore. I hadn't listened to it in a couple of years and I definitely hadn't listened to it since Bobby was born. Turns out that song is exactly what I was feeling the night he was born and I was at home and he was in the hospital and I didn't know if he was going to live or not. I got all weepy and ran inside where I couldn't hear it anymore. I got all weepy again when they sang "I Shall Be Released" because I used to sing that to Bobby a lot when he was in the hospital. I used to sing "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" and "Thunder Road" a lot, too. Those were the only songs whose words I could remember.
So this morning we've been watching The Last Waltz and eating these pancakes and having a great time. I love this guy.
